The client is one of the biggest mobile phone network operator in Indonesia which has coverage in almost all the country’s and provinces and regencies. They built a Smart Building system to automatically control the building’s operations. The system can help building’s owner to run and manage to improve asset reliability and performance. The smart building also aims to cut energy use, optimizes space and minimizes the environmental impact on buildings.
Our partner take advantage of the Internet of Things (IoT) to enable operation systems that deliver more accurate and useful information for improving operations and providing the best experiences for tenants. These are the five pillars they use for building the system:
- BMS (Building Management System) & BAS (Building Automation System) Integration
The BMS and BAS integrate, installs and maintains the building operation to increase the energy efficiency. The BMS/BAS control systems can automatically capture the alarms and emailed it to the contractor or technician to fix the problems according to the order attached to the email. The building facility use is also integrated with BMS/BAS systems to trigger the lighting, air conditioning etc at a specific time before the activity begins and automatically switches off the equipment after the activity ends for a better energy conservation and user comfort.
- Lighting Control
This system provides a power saving mode where user can only use lights according to room activity or usage. The sensor controls the light when to turns on and adjust the brightness according to the time of the day.
- CCTV System
The camera, monitor and controller or recorder device are the three combination that observes and monitors areas in the building through a video technology. The security staff can see and analyze the result from a control room for 24 hours.
- Security/Access Control
This is a critical system in smart building since security is an important matter. Certain people can get access to the rooms in the building by using a combination of systems, smart card reader, security code or biometric reader (fingerprint). All activities conducted by the Access Control System which monitored, controlled and stored on a Personal Computer or a main server. The system is programmed to meet or comply various wishes and needs of the user.
- Visitor Management System (VMS)
This system tracks the usage of a building by gathering the increasing amounts of information and record the usage of facilities by specific visitors and give documentation of visitor’s whereabouts.
- Voice Control
The system lets you command devices with your voice. Its functions include the lights, HV AC/AC, curtains/shades, projector/TV, connected hardware (e.g air purifier).
